A amizade mais próxima

Os seres humanos ficam bonitos quando estão repletos de alegria. Não somos bonitos quando estamos cheios de ódio, quando estamos cheios de raiva. A alegria nos cai bem. A paz nos cai muito bem. Então, brilhamos.

Continue assim na sua vida. Se encontrou a estrada, use-a. A confusão não é uma boa amiga. Você quer a companhia da clareza. Você quer a companhia da alegria. Você quer a companhia da paz. Você terá muitos amigos. Alguns serão amigos sociais. Alguns serão amigos pelo fato de você chamá-los de amigos. Tanto faz. Mas os amigos em que você precisa confiar são os que estarão aí nos bons e nos maus momentos. Nos bons momentos, todos querem estar por perto. Nos maus momentos, as pessoas tendem a deixá-lo sozinho. Não querem você. Mas é nos maus momentos que você tem a prova dos nove: quem ficará com você? Quem o acompanhará?

A clareza estará aí. Se você selou essa relação, se selou essa amizade com a clareza, ela estará aí. Esses são os amigos – a paz , a alegria – que nunca abandonarão você, mesmo nos momentos mais negros e difíceis.

Essas são as manifestações do todo-poderoso.

É essa a companhia que você deve manter na sua vida.

The Closest Friendship

When human beings are full of joy, that’s when they’re beautiful. We’re not beautiful when we are full of hate, when we are full of anger. We wear joy very well. We wear peace very well. That’s when we shine.

In your life, continue that. If you’ve found that road, use that road. Confusion is not the friend to have. Clarity is the one you want companionship of. You want the companionship of joy. You want the companionship of peace. You will have many friends. Some are social friends. Some are friends for the sake of calling them friends. Whatever.

But the friends that you need to rely on that will be there in good times and bad. In good times, everybody wants to be there. In bad times, people tend to leave you alone. Don’t want you. But the acid test becomes that, even in bad times, what will hold your company, what will accompany you?

Clarity will be there. If you have struck that relationship, if you have struck that friendship with clarity, it will be there. And these are the friends—the peace, the joy—that will not abandon you, even in your deepest, darkest hour.

These are the manifestations of the all-powerful. In your life, this is the companionship you should keep.
